Hello! I’m Mandy Buehler, designer and artist. My experience has taken me in so many directions in design, from tradition branding graphic design, to event and presentation design, to fine art and illustrative projects. I have worked on pitches, historical analysis, social strategies, marketing materials and everything in-between for top tier brands and talent and start-ups alike. I focus on layout, brand standards adherence, and the organization of information for presentations and marketing materials for internal and external use, client winning, reporting, events, etc. I also support smaller companies, agencies and start-ups who need a designer for occasional projects and events. No contract is too small.

 

Outside of the agency world, I am also an illustrative artist. I have completed two artist residencies — one in India (2015) with a concentration in ink drawing and acrylic paint, and the other in Italy (2023) with a concentration in digital illustration and photography. My greatest passions are travel and outdoor adventure, so my personal and freelance fine art work naturally emulate these themes, though I have certainly branched out depending on the clients requirements. My illustrative style is inspired by outdoor adventure, environmentally-conscious brands, nostalgic color palettes, and woodblock prints.

 

Skills and software:

Digital: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Express, ProCreate, Google Slides, Powerpoint and Keynote. I am learning Figma, Lightroom, and animation software like AfterEffects and PremierePro.

Thought: Visual storytelling, copywriting, brand narration, big-picture ideation.

Traditional: Drawing, painting, photography, and in yesteryear, drama and music.
